NOBLE PRIZE WINNERS OF 2013 & 2014

  • The Nobel Prize winners of 2013 and 2014 in the different categories were announced in the month of October 2013 and 2014. Nobel Prizes are announced every year in the memory of Alfred Nobel. 
  • The categories were the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, the Nobel Prize in Physics, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, The Nobel Prize in Economics, The Nobel Literature Prize and The Nobel Peace Prize.

Contribution:-for the development of multi scale models for complex chemical system.

Names:-The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)
Contribution:-for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons

5-Literature
Names:-Alice Munro
Contribution:-master of the contemporary short story

6-Economics
Names:-1- Eugene Fama 2-Lars Peter Hansen 3-Robert Shiller
Contribution:-for their work on creating a deeper knowledge of how market prices move.

Names:-1-Kailash Satyarthi 2-Malala Yousafzai
Contribution:- for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education .

5-Literature
Names:-Patrick Modiano
Contribution:-Nazi Occupation and its effect on Country

6-Economics
Names:-Jean Tirole
Contribution:-For work on market power and regulation, and his work taming powerful firms.
